This glass plate negative is part of the Frank Fry Collection and shows Mattie Fry next to her son, Frank Emmett Fry II, born in 1901. Frank was Mattie and Frank's first child. He was delivered in the home of Mattie's physician, who lived in Murphy, NC. The rest of her children were born at Hewitt (presumably at home).

This glass plate negative is part of the Frank Fry Collection and shows Mattie standing next to her young, firstborn son Frank Emmett Fry Jr. (1901-1981).
