Homecoming Queens

This is a photograph of five Tuscola High Seniors who were nominated for Homecoming Queen during a troublesome time for racial harmony in the South. From left to right the candidate's names are: Vivian Cabe, Nancy Lee, Elaine Williams, Debbie Caudill, and Vivian Kirkpatrick. This is one of the first documented pictures of an integrated homecoming court recorded in the history of Tuscola High School or Haywood county. Unfortunately this document is undated, so the exact year this picture was taken is unknown.
